French toast with baked apple

How delightful these toasts are! A thick slice of toasted brioche smells of cinnamon and well-being, the baked apple filling makes you want to wrap yourself in a blanket. There is no morning fuss if you start your day with such a breakfast. Despite the simplicity of the recipe, there is nobility and elegance in French toast that requires champagne and starched napkins.

Prepare all the ingredients.

Peel the apples, remove the core, and cut into small cubes.

Heat the pan, add 25 grams of sugar, and wait for it to caramelize a bit.
- Sugar: 60 g

Place apples in caramel, mix them, and let them soften a bit and get coated in caramel.
- Apple: 1 piece

Add half of the butter, cinnamon, mix and bake the apples to your desired softness. Add 2 tablespoons of cold water, mix and leave the apples covered on the lowest heat while preparing the toast.
- Butter: 60 g
- Cinnamon: to taste
- Milk: 50 ml

Mix milk, eggs, and the remaining sugar in a wide bowl and whisk until smooth.
- Milk: 50 ml
- Chicken egg: 2 pieces
- Sugar: 60 g

Dip each slice in the mixture and hold for 30 seconds on each side to soak well.
- Brioche: 2 pieces

Melt half of the remaining butter in a large skillet over medium heat, then add the slices of bread after 1 minute.
- Butter: 60 g

Fry the bread for 4 minutes on each side over medium heat. Flip it, add another piece of butter on top, and brown the toast for another 3 minutes.
- Butter: 60 g

Place the toast on plates and top with baked apples.

Pour with yogurt and honey, optionally sprinkle with powdered sugar for final decoration.
