Homemade syrniki are a true embodiment of comfort and traditions of Russian cuisine. This delicate dessert with a golden crust and airy texture appeared in Russian homes centuries ago when cottage cheese was the basis for many dishes. Each piece has a balance of sweetness and light sourness, while raisins add pleasant fruity notes. Perfect for breakfast or tea, syrniki are delicious on their own but especially tasty with honey, sour cream, or jam. Their preparation is a creative and simple process: a bit of patience, a bit of love — and before you is a warm treat that warms the heart.
