Causa, a national Peruvian potato casserole. There are many different ones, we made it with chicken.

Prepare the necessary ingredients.

Boil the potatoes in their skins until cooked. At the same time, boil the chicken in salted water.
- Potato: 1 kg
- Chicken fillet: 350 g

Remove seeds from the pepper.
- Red chili pepper: 1 piece
- Yellow bell pepper: 30 g

Blend chili and yellow pepper with vegetable oil, juice of half a lime, a pinch of salt and pepper. Strain through a sieve.

- Lime: 1 piece
- Salt: to taste
- Ground black pepper: to taste

Peel the potatoes, mash them into puree, and mix with the pepper mixture.
- Potato: 1 kg
- Red chili pepper: 1 piece

Cool the boiled meat, cut it, and mix it with mayonnaise.
- Chicken fillet: 350 g
- Mayonnaise: 2 tablespoons

Slice the avocado.
- Avocado: 2 pieces

Water them with the remaining lime juice, season with salt and pepper.
- Lime: 1 piece
- Salt: to taste
- Ground black pepper: to taste

To assemble the portioned causa, place a culinary ring on a plate, first layer mashed potatoes, then several slices of avocado, again mashed potatoes, followed by a layer of chicken, and finish with mashed potatoes.
