Make cuts in the lard with a knife, stuff it with salt and sliced garlic cloves (use eight cloves).

Cut the fat into squares, place them in a container, sprinkle with salt, add bay leaves, peppercorns, and a bit more garlic. Place under a weight and keep for 3-4 days in warmth, then 10 days in the refrigerator.
