Preparation for shchi is a traditional Russian recipe that preserves the taste of summer in a jar and allows you to make aromatic shchi at any time of the year. The base of the dish is white cabbage combined with carrots, onions, sweet peppers, and tomatoes to create a rich and intense flavor. The addition of vinegar gives the preparation a slight sourness that perfectly complements the shchi. This is a versatile base: just add meat broth or potatoes to create a complete dish. This method of preservation was popular in villages where products were prepared for winter to save cooking time. The preparation for shchi is not only convenient but also retains vitamins, making winter dishes tasty and healthy.
