Yeast dough with butter

120 minutes
Yeast dough with butter is a classic base for many European pastries. Its tenderness and lightness are achieved through the combination of butter and yeast, creating a soft texture and subtle aroma. Historically, such dough was used in traditional French and German cuisine as a base for rolls, pies, and sweet pastries. After proper rising, it becomes elastic and easy to shape, making it versatile. The dough has a rich flavor with slight sweetness due to a small amount of sugar, while the butter adds richness. This dough is perfect for making sweet rolls, pies, or even pizza bases where softness and airiness are important.

1
First, chop the butter in a bowl for the dough and leave it in a warm place. When the butter becomes soft, add flour and mix thoroughly with a fork.
