Bread three-color braid

The three-colored bread braid is not just a pastry but a true work of art in Ukrainian cuisine. Its roots go back to the traditions of festive bread that symbolizes unity and richness of flavors. The tender yeast crumb, complemented by aromatic herbs, spicy paprika, and zesty chili creates a harmonious blend, while the crispy crust adorned with caraway seeds, sesame seeds, and nuts adds special texture. This bread is perfect for serving at family gatherings, pairs wonderfully with meat and vegetable dishes, and can also be enjoyed on its own. Sift the flour into a large bowl. Warm the milk and dissolve the yeast in it. Pour the milk with yeast into the flour, add diced butter, salt, and sugar. Knead the dough.
- Wheat flour: 500 g
- Dry yeast: 7 g
- Milk: 250 ml
- Sugar: 1 teaspoon
- Butter: 50 g
- Salt: 0.5 teaspoon

Knead the dough for at least 10 minutes, adding flour if necessary. Roll into a ball, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Wash, dry, and chop the greens. Divide the dough into three parts.

Add greens to one, paprika and chili to the second. Leave the third part as it is.
- Chopped parsley: 3 tablespoons
- Sweet paprika: 1 teaspoon

Leave for another 15 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Grease the baking tray with oil. Lightly beat the egg and cream. Brush the braid with the mixture. Sprinkle the dough with herbs with cumin, with red pepper - sesame, and the plain dough - with nuts.
- Chicken egg: 1 piece
- Cream: 1 tablespoon
- Caraway: 1 teaspoon
- Sesame: 1 teaspoon
- Nuts: 1 teaspoon

Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes.
