Raisin and walnut cookies are a classic of Russian home baking that brings comfort and warmth to family tea gatherings. Its history goes deep into traditions when simple yet heartfelt sweets were made in household kitchens. The delicate dough infused with vanilla aroma combined with crunchy nuts and sweet raisins creates a harmony of flavors—slightly chewy, a bit crumbly, with a light caramel note of baked sugar. It is served with tea or coffee and is also great for snacking on the go or at work. This cookie is easy to cut into portioned pieces, and its softness remains unchanged even after several days, making it ideal for storage. The secret to its popularity lies in the simplicity of preparation and the unchanging homey atmosphere in every bite.
