Honey grilazh candies are a refined treat that combines a crunchy nut flavor with the delicate sweetness of honey. This dessert resembles traditional grilazh but gains special depth from the honey syrup, which adds natural sweetness and a light caramelized note. Nuts coated in chocolate create a harmonious balance between the rich cocoa flavor and the crunchy textural contrast. These candies can be served as an elegant dessert with tea or used as a sophisticated gift conveying warmth and care. Their preparation requires patience, but the result is always delightful — each candy becomes a small masterpiece filled with love and flavor.

1
Mix honey, sugar, water, cocoa, and nuts in a pot.
- Honey: 150 g
- Sugar: 1 tablespoon
- Cocoa: 2 tablespoons
- Walnuts: 300 g
- Water: 50 ml
2
Put on low heat and cook until boiling. Stir constantly.
3
After boiling, cook for another 10-15 minutes, stirring.
4
Remove from heat. Add citric acid. Stir.
- Citric acid: 0.3 teaspoon
5
Add butter. Mix everything well.
- Butter: 100 g
6
Let it cool for a bit. Send it to the fridge for 1.5–2 hours until fully set. Then you can shape the candies using a spoon or with your hands (wet or gloved). My younger brother shaped the candies to contribute to making candies for mom.
7
Put the candies in the fridge. For about 30 minutes.
8
Melt chocolate in a water bath (I add a little vegetable oil to the chocolate, just a bit, it coats better that way).
- Chocolate: 300 g
9
Dip the candies in the glaze. You can use a toothpick.
10
Before the glaze hardens, you can decorate the candies with cookie crumbs.
11
Put the candies in the fridge until they harden.
