Buns with parmesan, Parma ham, and pine nuts are a refined treat of Italian cuisine that combines the rich flavor of aged cheese, the delicate texture of ham, and the nutty crunch. This recipe recalls traditional baked goods from Northern Italy where the quality of ingredients plays a key role. The cheese-nut mixture gives the buns a deep aroma while the airy dough with a golden crust makes them perfect for breakfast or an aperitif. They are served warm, lightly brushed with olive oil, pairing well with a glass of white wine or a cup of espresso. The perfect balance of flavors makes these buns versatile – they can be served as a standalone dish, as an addition to a cheese platter, or used as a base for sandwiches. Italian gastronomic art in every bite!
