Fragrant Mango and Chilli Chutney
4 servings
30 minutes
Aromatic mango and chili pepper chutney is a vibrant dish of Indian cuisine that combines the sweetness of mango, the spiciness of mustard, and the sharp notes of chili. This sauce is traditionally served with meat, rice, or flatbreads and has a deeply rich flavor where the sweetness of raisins and brown sugar balances the heat of spices. Mustard seeds release their pungency when roasted, creating a rich base for the chutney. Adding fresh cilantro gives the dish freshness and lightness. Chutney can be used as a dip, marinade, or accompaniment to main dishes, turning everyday meals into an exotic culinary adventure.
