This microwave tomato sauce is a quick and convenient version of traditional Mexican sauce. Peel the onion and garlic, place them in a microwave-safe bowl, cover, and steam for 3 minutes on full power.
- Onion: 1 head
- Garlic: 2 cloves

Peel the tomatoes and drain them in a colander. Blend them. Add to the onion and garlic, and season with oregano. Cover and cook for 5 minutes at full power.
- Tomatoes in their own juice: 800 g
- Oregano: 1 teaspoon

Mix starch with tomato juice, pour into the sauce. Add salt and pepper, and return to the microwave for 1 minute.
- Cornstarch: 1 tablespoon
