Dietary meatballs with beans in tomato sauce are a true embodiment of Italian cuisine in a light and healthy version. This recipe takes traditional meatballs and makes them softer and lower in calories by combining chicken and beef mince. Baked in the oven, they acquire an appetizing texture, while the rich tomato sauce with aromatic herbs—thyme and oregano—gives them brightness and depth of flavor. Beans add a pleasant creaminess to the dish and make it more filling. Perfect for those who watch their diet but don’t want to sacrifice taste. Serve these meatballs with a piece of crunchy whole grain bread or a vegetable side dish—and enjoy the richness of Mediterranean flavors.
