Cod with lentil ragout is an exquisite dish of European cuisine that combines the tenderness of baked fish with the rich flavor of aromatic ragout. Historically, cod was a staple in northern European countries, while lentils symbolize heartiness and simplicity. In this recipe, they come together in a harmonious union. The baked cod retains its juiciness, while the ragout infused with the flavors of bacon, vegetables, and thyme complements it with a rich texture. The light creaminess of butter and the freshness of herbs complete the composition. This dish is perfect for a cozy family dinner or a festive table where simplicity of ingredients meets depth of flavor.
