Kubite is a traditional Tatar layered pie that combines the tenderness of chicken, the softness of potatoes, and the aroma of fresh onions. This pie was a favorite dish among Tatar families and was prepared for holidays and family gatherings. Its delightful taste lies in the combination of simple yet perfectly complementary ingredients: meat, vegetables, and crispy dough. Before baking, aromatic chicken broth is added to the pie, making the filling juicy and rich. Kubite has a pleasant crunch on the outside but hides a soft texture soaked in juices inside that makes you want to try it again and again. It can be served hot or slightly cooled, enjoying every bite. This dish is a true embodiment of home comfort and hospitality in Tatar cuisine.
