Baked pagel is a refined dish of Yugoslav cuisine that combines the tenderness of sea bream with the rich aroma of baked potatoes. Historically, this recipe was popular among fishermen as it is based on fresh fish prepared with minimal yet harmonious ingredients. Onion, lemon, and spices enrich the flavor, adding fresh citrus notes and a hint of spiciness. Baking under foil preserves the fish's juiciness and allows the ingredients to exchange aromas.
