Draniki with salmon

Potato pancakes with salmon are an exquisite blend of simplicity and sophistication in Russian cuisine. Crispy potato fritters infused with the aroma of onions perfectly complement the tender lightly salted salmon. This dish embodies a contrast of textures – airy and soft inside pancakes meet the firm pieces of fish. Historically, pancakes came to us from Belarusian cuisine but have firmly established themselves in Russian gastronomic tradition. They are often served with sour cream, adding a creamy note, while fresh dill and lemon juice provide a light freshness. This dish is perfect for a morning breakfast or a cozy family dinner, and a double espresso makes it even more refined. Potato pancakes with salmon offer a taste that unites traditions and modern gastronomic style.
