Sour mix (bar sweet-and-sour) is a bar concentrate-preparation of freshly squeezed lemon and/or lime juice and sugar syrup in equal proportions (sometimes with egg white), clear or slightly cloudy, sweet-sour, refreshing. It is used to quickly make cocktails of the sour family (whiskey sour, amaretto sour, margarita, daiquiri, Tom Collins) and non-alcoholic lemonades instead of adding juice and syrup separately.
