Its rich composition includes vodka, rum, gin, tequila, and Cointreau, making it one of the strongest cocktails. Balance is achieved by adding lemon juice and simple syrup, while a light hint of cola gives the drink its characteristic color. The taste of Long Island is rich, deep, and layered—initially fresh and citrusy followed by the warmth of alcohol. Traditionally served in a teapot to conceal its contents, today it is more commonly served in a tall glass with ice. This cocktail is perfect for evenings when you crave something bold and daring yet elegant.

Mix vodka, light rum, gin, tequila, and Cointreau in a jigger.
- Vodka: 25 ml
- White (light) rum: 25 ml
- Gin: 25 ml
- Tequila: 25 ml
- Cointreau: 25 ml

Then add freshly squeezed lemon juice and 5-7 ml of sugar syrup. It's better to use ice cubes, as frappe melts too quickly and dilutes the cocktail, which we definitely don't want.
- Lemon juice: 30 ml
- Sugar syrup: 6 ml

Add just a little cola, just for color. Serve as in Prohibition times — in a small teapot. Pour into a cup and add a small piece of lemon.
