Salted porcini mushrooms are boiled and salted (dry or wet method) ceps, firm, springy, with a rich mushroom umami taste and a light saltiness, often with spices, garlic, dill and bay. They are served as a cold appetizer with onion and oil, added to salads, pie fillings, solyanka, stir-fries and mushroom caviar.
