Almond urbech is a Dagestani paste of raw or lightly roasted almonds ground on stone mills, thick, viscous, oily, light beige, with a rich sweetish-marzipan nutty taste and a natural separation into oil. It is eaten on bread with honey and butter, stirred with warm milk into a drink, added to porridge, smoothies, desserts, sauces and energy bars.
