Hibiscus tea (karkade) is a herbal infusion of the dried bracts of the Sudanese rose flower, bright ruby red, with a pronounced sour taste, berry-cranberry notes and a light astringency, caffeine-free, rich in anthocyanins and vitamin C. It is drunk hot with sugar or honey and cold with ice and mint, used as a base for fruit drinks, lemonades, sorbets and as a natural colouring.

Freshness and lightness are provided by lemongrass, lemon juice, a slice of cucumber and a pleasant sourness of hibiscus. Recipe by head bartender Anton Korobkov from Kultura Bar.
