
Belgian witbier (white ale) is a pale top-fermented wheat beer of barley and wheat malt, seasoned with orange peel and coriander, hazy pale yellow, with a dense white head, a light body, a mild citrus-spiced freshness and a delicate sweetness. It is drunk chilled (sometimes with a slice of orange), and in cooking used for mussels, batter, braising fish and in light sauces.
