Yellow plums (mirabelle, yellow greengage, yellow cherry plum) are small round fruits with golden-yellow skin and juicy sweet flesh with honey notes and a moderate tang near the stone. They are eaten fresh, added to tarts, galettes, pies, clafoutis and strudel, cooked into jam, compotes, fruit butter and sauces for meat and poultry, dried and made into cordials.
