
Dried pollock roe is dense lightly salted and semi-dried roe sacs (skeins) of pollock, light beige or yellowish, springy, with a concentrated saltish-fishy taste and a light umami. It is thinly sliced as a snack with beer and rice, fried in slices, crumbled into salads, pasta and omelettes and served with boiled potatoes and herbs; the Korean version is spicy (myeongnan).
