Crispy-Crusted Pollock

Battered fish is not the brightest memory for many people from their kindergarten days. Although the idea is rich: the doughy batter shell should protect the surface of the tender fillet so that it does not dry out in the frying pan. But batter usually does not add to the appetite: in nine cases out of ten it looks soggy, greasy and somehow shapeless. We tried to add a little Japanese accent to the banal batter by breading the pollock fillet in sesame and coming up with a sauce with an Asian character, which combines soy sauce, honey and sesame oil. It turned out to be interesting and, most importantly, even those children who hate fish under any sauce, usually treat this crispy variation favorably. And they often do not even notice that the same unloved kindergarten pollock is hidden inside the crispy shell .

Hill pollock and apple salad

When everyone has already eaten their fill of Olivier salad, and the Old New Year is still ahead, it is worthwhile to rethink old recipes rather than invent new ones. Pickled cucumbers, eggs, onions, mayonnaise - all this evokes associations with either "Mime oza" or the popular squid salad. But it is worth diluting familiar tastes with beans, fried fish and, most importantly, the lively taste of green apple, and the salad will look more elegant and fresh.

Quick Pollock Fish Cutlets

Fish cutlets are a simple and understandable everyday food. But they are quite capricious: sometimes a lot of flour, bread and even semolina are added to the cutlets so that they do not fall apart in the frying pan, which neutralizes the presence of fish in the mince . We went the other way - for stickiness and at the same time fluffiness, mashed potatoes appear in the cutlets, which do not stick out from the cutlet mass as roughly as flour or bread. As for the sauce, you can add a little horseradish or garlic to the combination of sour cream and herbs , if you like spicy, and take this sauce into service for other fish dishes.

Pollock fillet with nut sauce

A recipe with Spanish motifs - the Spanish usually bake fillets of their beloved cod in nut romesco sauce. Pollock, as a representative of the same family, looks no paler, it is only important to rub all the ingredients for the sauce in a blender until the consistency is almost like sour cream. Then the nutty fat and crunchiness will mix with the tenderness and baked sweetness of the peppers, and in such an environment any budget fish will look good.

Pollock fillet in unagi sauce

Fillet of pollock in unagi sauce is an exquisite Japanese dish that combines the tenderness of white fish with the rich, sweet-soy flavor of unagi. The sauce, traditionally used for smoked eel, gives the pollock a caramel depth and a hint of spice, harmoniously complemented by sesame and dried chili pepper. Marinating enhances the flavor while baking preserves the fish's juiciness. The onion bed adds a soft sweetness, making the dish's texture even richer. Historically, dishes with unagi sauce are popular in Japanese cuisine due to its rich umami and ability to enhance seafood flavors.
